Professional Achievements

Steve has been a PGA Member since 1993. He currently serves as the Director of Instruction at The Mirabel Club in Scottsdale, AZ. 

He has earned PGA Certified Professional status in the areas of Golf Instruction and Golf Operations. Currently, less than two percent of PGA Golf Professionals have earned this level of PGA certification. 

 Steve was awarded the prestigious Colorado PGA "Teacher of the Year" in 2016. He was selected by Golf Digest as one the Best Teachers in Colorado for both 2017 and 2018.  ​In 2000, while serving as the PGA Head Golf Professional at Winnetka Golf Club, Steve was awarded the Bill Strausbaugh Award by the Illinois PGA Section for the dedication he committed to  increasing  employment opportunities for PGA members. Additionally, his passion for junior golf was recognized as he was selected for the 2001 Illinois PGA Section Junior Golf  Leader Award. This award was given for the accomplishments performed at Winnetka Golf Club in developing one of the top junior programs in the Chicago area.

He is proud of his time served on the Colorado PGA Board of Directors, as he led the Junior Golf Committee. During his tenure, junior golf in Colorado grew to new heights and now serves as a model for PGA Sections across the country to emulate.

He takes great pride in being an accomplished player, as he believes it helps to define the image of a successful PGA Golf Professional. Steve is very proud of his many tournament wins and other success, especially for being selected to an elite group of golf professionals on the Carolina's PGA Palmetto Cup and Illinois PGA Radix Cup teams.
